strategic seating - cheesy bread

So, I'm stuck in the couch yet again. Not studying. For the first time in my life... My poor pea-sized muscles were turned to split pea soup while cross country skiing on Saturday, entonces, the gym is out-of-bounds, an unhealthy supply of butter has already been transformed into a batch of ooey gooey cinnamon buns, and I have reached my patience quota in Skype counseling, so now it's time to melt into the couch.

I was just chatting to Liz about starting this blog and she advised me to mention that manners are primordial. Well, not really, as long as you don't disturb the person next to you. Therefore, make your eating experience an enjoyable one and avoid Kristin's vicinity. Chewing with your mouth open, elbows far out enough to do chin lifts, scraping your plate with the fork to pick up the two remaining drops of sauce (genius), speaking with your mouth full and my favourite: the cacophonous nerve-sizzling sounds of a teaspoon stirring sugar in tea. Not for the acceptable 30 seconds, but for minutes on end... haha, that is when you learn that sitting next to Lizzy isn't any safer (don't even think of double-dipping!).

So for the first restipy, why not try my "Igloo Favourite", no manners required. The first time Mom made this for us was on Berneval when we wanted to have a picnic in our newly built snow fort and has it become a staple ever since :o).

Cheesy Bread

· 1 baguette

· 3/4 c mayonnaise

· 2 tbsp shallots or onions

· pinch nutmeg

· 3 c grated cheese

· 1 tsp mustard powder

Mix everything together and put into baguette. (Feel free to change proportions, less mayo and cheese never harmed anyone). Wrap in foil and cook at 200 C for 10-15 mins - until cheese is melted and stringy.
